Pizza 4P’s Vietnam: Why This Famous Pizza Spot is a Must-Try

When I first moved back to Vietnam a few years ago, I did what every hungry local does: I asked around - “Where should I eat in Saigon?” Without fail, one name kept coming up: Pizza 4P’s. I remember thinking, really? A pizza place? In Vietnam? I had my doubts. But the way people raved about it made me curious. So one evening, I gave in and made a booking. And that first visit completely flipped my expectations.

From the crust to the cheese to the unexpected flavour combinations (like Salmon Sashimi Pizza with house-made ricotta sauce ?!!), Pizza 4P’s feels like this perfect harmony of Italian craft, Japanese precision, and Vietnamese soul. Sounds like a weird trio, but somehow, it just works - and works really well.

First Impressions: The Vibe at Pizza 4P’s

My first visit to Pizza 4P’s was at their Ben Thanh location, and right away, I could see why everyone’s obsessed. The place felt warm and welcoming without trying too hard: the smell of wood-fired dough and melted cheese filled the air, the lighting was soft, and the low hum of conversation made it easy to settle in.

What stood out most to me was the open kitchen. There’s something oddly calming about watching the team work - kneading dough, firing up pizzas in that giant wood-fired oven, tossing ingredients around like it’s no big deal. Everything feels fresh, hands-on, and intentional without being overly polished.

The vibe hits that rare balance of stylish but unpretentious. You could dress up for a date or show up in your weekend clothes and it still feels totally okay. I’ve done both. Whether I'm with my friends, on a casual night out, or even just grabbing dinner solo (zero judgment here), it never feels awkward or too much.

The Ben Thanh branch especially nails that aesthetic - clean lines, soft wood, and little thoughtful details that don’t scream for attention but make a difference. It’s easy to see why this place has a cult following, and I hadn’t even tried the pizza yet.

Real Ingredients, Real Cheese, Real Flavour

One thing I love about Pizza 4P’s is how serious they are about their ingredients. A lot of restaurants throw around the word “organic” or “sustainable” just like trendy hashtags, but 4P’s actually means it. Their vegetables are grown on their own farm in Da Lat, a highland town famous for its cool climate, fertile soil, and fresh produce. So, everything on your plate is as fresh as it gets - from farm to table, literally.

Then their cheese. I'm not usually the type to rave about cheese, but 4P's cheese is a different story. They make it all themselves up in Da Lat too - burrata, mozzarella, ricotta, camembert, even blue cheese. The burrata especially got me. It’s so fresh and creamy that it barely feels like the same thing you buy in a store.

It's clear that they care about every step - growing, making to cooking. When food is made with that kind of attention, it just tastes better. It's the kind of food that feels honest and satisfying.

What to Order at Pizza 4P’s (From Someone Who’s Tried Almost Everything)

I’ve lost count of how many times I’ve eaten at Pizza 4P’s, but let’s just say... a lot. And after working my way through most of the menu, I’ve found a few dishes that always hit - whether I’m with my family, friends, on a date, or just grabbing something comforting on my own.

🧀 Cheese Platter

If you’re a cheese lover, start here. Their homemade cheese board gives you a little bit of everything: burrata, mozzarella, camembert, blue cheese. Add in some honey, nuts, and good bread, and it’s the perfect starter with a glass of wine.

🥗 Salads

If you’re into salads, 4P’s is basically a playground. All their greens come fresh from their own farm in Da Lat, so they actually taste like something. Their most popular one is the Burrata Fruit Salad, with sweet tropical fruits, a bit of Parma ham, and that creamy burrata that makes you forget it’s even a salad.

But my personal favorite is the Kale Salad with House-made Lactic Cheese and Caramelized Nuts. The kale’s soft, the nuts are sweet and crunchy, and the cheese is this tangy, buttery, melt-y thing they polish with rice wine (yep, rice wine!) for extra flavor. It’s healthy but still feels like a treat.

🦀 Tomato Cream Crab Spaghetti with Ricotta

This pasta is iconic for a reason. The tomato cream sauce is rich but not heavy, and there's real crab meat in there, not just a token sprinkle. The ricotta on top is smooth and creamy, tying everything together. I always go for the fresh pasta option when they have it - it's got that perfect chew and springiness that soaks up the sauce beautifully.

Side note: Not all branches have fresh pasta all the time though, last time I asked and they didn't, they gave me a free drink to apologize. Just a cute little gesture...as long as you don't start asking on purpose.

🍕 Burrata Parma Ham Pizza

This is one of their most popular pizzas and honestly, it’s easy to see why. The Parma ham is thin, delicate, and slightly salty, perfectly balancing the fresh herb leaves and cherry tomatoes. Then there’s the burrata in the center, cut open at your table so the creamy goodness spills over the pizza like it’s meant to. Everything just tastes fresh and light, but still really satisfying. If you like a tiny kick, a bit of chili oil on top takes it up another notch.

If you want to try something a bit more indulgent, there's also the Burrata Parma Ham Margherita Pizza, which is their signature version. It's a step up in price, but it's loaded with Parma ham over a simple tomato base, no herbs or fresh cherry tomatoes. If you are really into ham, this is the one.

🍕 House-made 4 Cheese Pizza

Since we’re at 4P’s, trying one of their house-made cheese pizzas feels like a must. The 4 Cheese Pizza is the most popular - Parmesan, Camembert, Mozzarella, and Blue Cheese, all made in-house. It’s rich and melty without feeling heavy, and every bite just makes you want another.

They also have a 3 Cheese (Parmesan, Mozzarella, Camembert) if you want something a bit simpler, and a 5 Cheese (house- made Mozzarella, Camembert, Raclette, Blue cheese and hand-grated Grana Padano) if you really want to go all out.

I have two favorite ways to eat it:
One: drizzle a bit of honey on top for that sweet-salty magic.
Two: keep it savory with chilli oil and a crack of pepper.
Totally different vibes, but both so good you’ll want to order it again next time… and the time after that.

🍕 Salmon Miso Cream Pizza

This one’s a bit of a curveball, but trust me, it works. The base is a creamy miso sauce - think rich, savory, and a little sweet from the Japanese fermented soybeans, mixed with fresh cream. Then there’s the salmon, soft and delicate, with fresh mozzarella, onions, spring onions, and a hit of hand-grated Grana Padano to tie it all together.

It’s that perfect Japanese-meets-Italian combo: comforting, flavorful, and just different enough to make you feel like you’ve discovered something special. Eat it while it’s hot, when the cheese is still melty and the salmon is at its most delicate.

🍕 Salmon Sashimi Pizza with Onion Ricotta

We now can eat raw fish on pizza? Yes! This one’s not your usual pizza. It starts in Italia with hot, crisp crust and creamy ricotta and ends in Japanese, with a plate of fresh, buttery salmon sashimi on the side.

You do the final step yourself: lay the cool sashimi onto the warm pizza and take a bite while the cheese is still melty. It’s a perfect clash in the best way - fresh : rich, cool : hot, sushi : pizza having the best first date ever.

🍕 Vegetarian pizzas

4P’s does vegetarian pizzas really well. The Zucchini Basil Sauce Pizza is fresh and rich, with a creamy pesto base, zucchini, pumpkin flowers, pumpkin seeds, and two kinds of house-made cheese. The Eggplant Pizza is all about that soft roasted eggplant with mozzarella, basil, and tomato sauce - simple but comforting. The 4 Mushroom Pizza is loaded with shimeji and button mushrooms, both white and brown, on a creamy mushroom sauce. The Kale with Lemon Ricotta, Olive & Caper Sauce Pizza mixes the salty punch of tapenade with baked kale, edible flowers, and smooth lemony ricotta. And when you just want the classic, the Margherita is fresh tomato sauce, mozzarella, and basil - nothing fancy, just always good.

The Price Point: Is It Worth It?

I won’t lie - Pizza 4P’s isn’t cheap. You’re looking at 250k to 350k VND for most pizzas, pastas around 200k to 300k, and starters or desserts in the 100k range. But for the quality, the care in sourcing, and the overall dining experience? I honestly think it’s worth it. It’s not everyday food, but it’s absolutely “treat yourself” food.

My Honest Take

I’ve grown up with Vietnam’s diverse food scene, from crunchiest bánh xèo to the silkiest phở. So when I say Pizza 4P’s is worth a visit, it’s not because it’s “good for Western food in Vietnam” - it’s because it’s legitimately good. It’s the kind of place that respects its surroundings, sourcing sustainable ingredients in Vietnam and creating something that feels at home in Vietnam while still being completely unique.

So, is Pizza 4P’s the best pizza in Vietnam? Yeah, I’d say so. It’s not the kind of place you’d hit up every day (unless you’re rolling in đồng), but for a solid pizza night, it’s hard to beat. The mix of Italian, Japanese, and Vietnamese flavors makes it one of the most unique restaurants in Ho Chi Minh City.

Bonus: Things People Might Not Know About Pizza 4P’s

🔥 4P’s stands for “Platform of Personal Pizza for Peace” to create happiness and peace through good food.

🔥 They were originally founded by a Japanese couple who just wanted to make good pizza at home

🔥 The founders weren’t chefs - they had zero professional experience making pizza or cheese.

🔥 They made cheese in their own kitchen first — fresh mozzarella, burrata, and camembert, all learned from trials and errors (and YouTube videos).

🔥 They make their own burrata and mozzarella in-house DAILY using milk from their own dairy and farms.
